Severe Drought Hit the Nation in 100 Years

The once moist soils are cracking dry these days. Due to the continuous heat and lack of rain, the nation is suffering from droughts. The Seoul Government recently announced the precipitation for this year was the lowest in 104 years.
Water reservoirs in dams are drying up to show their bottoms. And people are worried that even the rivers may soon dry up. The drought is heavily hitting the farmers as they are having a hard time watering their crops. Consumers are also suffering because the price of crops has jumped.

Shoppers are hesitating to buy vegetables as prices are continuing to rise. Seoul city is getting busy to finding ways to cope with the prolonged droughts. Other cities across the nation are also quickly preparing to fight the drought.
Sadly, North Korea hasn¡¯t been able to find a way to cope with the drought. News reports have shown that the drought has brought severe food shortage problems in North Korea.
