Watch Out for Food Poisoning in May and June
Untitled Document
The weather is getting warmer. May and June are the perfect months to enjoy outdoor activities. These days, many people go on a picnic or camping. They often bring food to eat outside.
However, you have to be careful when enjoying food outside in May and June. This is because the warm temperatures can make food go bad. According to the Korea Food & Drug Administration (KFDA)½ÄǰÀǾàǰ¾ÈÀüû, food poisoning occurs most frequently in May and June. Many people believe that food poisoning tends to occur in July and August.

However, the KFDA said that May and June are the most dangerous months. If you leave food outside for more than four hours, germs can increase rapidly and cause food poisoning. Therefore, you should be very careful when eating food outdoors.
In order to avoid food poisoning, wash your hands often. Also, keep your food in cool places. Before putting something in your mouth, smell it first and see if it is OK to eat.
