The Korean government has tried to increase their population. Fortunately, a flying squirrel
family was found at Deogyu Mountain National Park덕유산 국립공원 on May 9.
The park office found four flying squirrels playing in the forest.
The family lives in the valley of the mountain where
there are many fir trees. The flying squirrels
are about 15 to 20 centimeters long. They can fly long distances using their wings. They have wings between
their front legs and hind legs.
They spend most of their lives
in tree holes. The park will
protect the endangered squirrels'
habitats. Let's hope the
flying squirrel family will stay healthy!
