Currently, elementary, middle,
and high school students don¡¯t have classes on Saturdays. Under the
new five-days a week education system,
students have about 175 days off. They can learn new things, go on
trips, and spend more time with their
family on Saturdays. However, some students have to stay home alone because both
of their parents work on Saturdays.
In order to help these students
make the best use of their
free time during the weekend, the Seoul City Government¼¿ï½ÃÁ¤ºÎ
is preparing diverse programs for them.
Recently, it announced the ¡°Happy Saturday
Project.¡± The project will provide 2,076 programs for
students in Seoul, including sports, culture,
farming, and other fun activities.
Thanks to the Happy Saturday
Project, students will be able to enjoy fun experiences when they
don¡¯t have classes. They will use parks, local gyms, culture centers,
and other facilities to enjoy these programs. In May, the city government
will also open a ¡°youth sports weekend league¡± where children and
teenagers can play soccer,
basketball, baseball, and other sports together.
There will be other exciting programs where students
can learn about our culture and history by visiting museums and other historic places. Saturday
will be a lot of fun for students! |
